A couple of weeks ago we reported on the fact that Rosie O’Donnell and her fiance, Michelle Rounds, were bringing the wedding forward to the spring. Things are moving fast for the newly engaged couple. Today we have info that they are planning to add to their family as soon as possible as well. Read on to find out what the couple plan for the near future.
This week Rosie revealed in an interview on The Rosie Show that she and Michelle are starting the family planning process. “She’s trying to get pregnant,” she said.
“Michelle is seeing a fertility doctor,” a source close to O’Donnell tells Us Weekly. “She is really excited and they cannot wait to add to their family. Rosie goes to all of her doctors’ appointments with her and is really supportive. She isn’t pregnant yet but they hope as soon as possible she will be.”
Rosie already has 4 kids, with her ex Kelli Carpenter, and by all accounts the whole extended family is happy about the news. “They are so excited! They can really tell that I am happy and in love, and they love to see me happy. Kelli, my ex, has also found love. It’s a beautiful thing. My children will be raised knowing what true love is.”
It is wonderful news that Rosie and Michelle are so happy together. They are planning for imminent nuptials and are in baby discussions, which is a sign to me that they are very much in love. We have said it before though, what is concerning is how quickly they are moving… they met, got engaged, and will be married all in the space of 1 year. Now, there might also be a pregnancy in that same time! Still, I do understand the need for Michelle to get onto it sooner rather than later given the biological risks of being an older mother. Rosie is 49 years old and Michelle is a bit younger, but still not that young for starting a family. There are also all the fertility processes they will have to consider, which can take time, so I guess it does make sense for them to be getting onto it quickly.
