Parting was too painful for Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner.
Despite their breakup earlier this month, the duo -- smiling brightly -- were spotted hitting the town together in West Hollywood on Monday night.

"They are not back together," source close to the "Complicated" singer, 27 and former Hills hunk, 26, explains to Us Weekly. The couple are still spending time together and "trying to figure out how to separate," the pal says.

Indeed, after two years together, the couple broke up amicably in early January as they struggled to balance their relationship with their careers.
"It was mutual, but Brody really broke up with her," a source told Us. Jenner "started" the conversation as they were discussing singer Lavigne's upcoming tour dates in Asia. "He told her he was tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her."

"They still love each other and could get back together, but for now, he needed a break."

Thoughts??
Yesterday was my last day in Detroit and for the most part, it was a great day. I got to relax in the early part of the day with Sarah and Mark as we shared an AMAZING Middle Eastern meal from Cedar Garden in Dearborn, MI. I got to spend a bit of time with parents in the afternoon before I had to be at the airport for my 5:30 flight back to LA. Unfortch, that’s where my good day ended … and my frustrating evening/night got started. It turns out I had a 4 hour delay to endure before I could begin my 5+ hour flight home but … thanks to good ol’ Walt Disney, I was able to survive my much-delayed return home.

Yesterday was the first day of any significant snow fall in Detroit, well since I arrived back in Michigan last Tuesday, so that was deffo my cue to return home. As I mentioned above, the flight delay home was a bit difficult to endure (2 hours at the airport, 2 hours on the plane BEFORE takeoff) but I decided — randomly — to download a biography on Walt Disney to my Amazon Kindle. I had never read a Disney biography before but since I had heard a lot of things about the man (both good and bad), I decided to read about his life myself. The book I purchased is the biography The Animated Man: A Life of Walt Disney:

This well-written book really kept my mind off the hours I had to get thru just to get home and really kept me entertained and, well, sane on that airplane. I was very surprised to learn of all of Disney‘s early failures and was charmed to learn of his modest and hard-working upbringing. I read the book up to the part where Disney created Mickey Mouse after he lost his contract with Universal Studios to produce the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoons:

Because he lost that contract, he decided to create his own character. In the 1920s, I understand, there were already a lot of cat cartoon characters and Walt couldn’t make another rabbit … so he made a mouse … named Mortimer. Disney‘s wife didn’t like the name Mortimer so he changed it to Mickey … and an American Icon was born. The first Mickey Mouse cartoon was made in 1928, Steamboat Willie:
Daniel Miller, Jay A. Fernandez Oh lord … here we go … if y’all thought that Saturday Night Live was in bad shape before (with week after week of lame skits and unfunny jokes) then you’re gonna LOVE this bit of info I have to share today. Alec Baldwin, one of the stars of 30 Rock, happened to come upon some inside info in the SNL studios and is blabbing today that Justin Bieber is among the celebs who will be hosting SNL in the coming weeks and months (you may recall that The Biebs was the musical guest on SNL back in April of 2010). I mean … really? Yes, REALLY! Click below to find out which other celebs Baldwin claims will be guest hosting SNL this year.

Alec Baldwin just did something that would certainly anger his 30 Rock character, NBC exec Jack Donaghy: He leaked official network intel. On today’s episode of Baldwin’s “Here’s The Thing” podcast on WNYC, the 30 Rock actor delves in deep with Saturday Night Live executive producer Lorne Michaels, and in the process, reveals that Justin Bieber will host SNL in the upcoming months. Setting the scene at Michaels’ office, Baldwin reads off some of the names that appear on a board of confirmed SNL hosts this season. Among them is the Biebs, who previously served as the musical guest in April 2010 (and popped by for a Church Lady skit and a digital short last February) but has never hosted the show. Michaels confirms Baldwin’s announcement with a yes, 26 minutes into the podcast. Baldwin innocently notes: “The biggest names in the business are coming here thirty-something years [after SNL's debut] to host the show. Ben Stiller, Melissa McCarthy, [who] won the Emmy award, and Katy Perry’s coming and Jimmy Fallon, who’s double-dipping on your payroll, Jonah Hill, and I don’t want to ruin any other names, [but] Bieber’s confirmed, he’s the music and the [host].” If this is true (NBC has not yet confirmed), Bieber will follow in the footsteps of fellow pop star host Katy Perry, who took the comedy reigns this past December. Bieber showed off his acting chops (if you want to call them that) with a minor guest spot on CSI on the 2010-2011 season. Next up on the SNL slate is host Zooey Deschanel with musical guest Bon Iver on Feb. 4, followed by Channing Tatum with musical guests Karmin on Feb. 11.
HMMMM. I’m always looking forward to having any NUMBER of celebrity guests host the show but … Bieber? I dunno. My gut tells me he will make a terrible host but, then again, he’s young and feisty … he might actually surprise us all and turn out to be a great host. I suppose we shouldn’t get our panties in a wad until we know for sure that he will be hosting but … I gotta know … what do y’all think about this? Do YOU think Justin Bieber would make a good host for Saturday Night Live?

So we've heard what Paula Abdul had to say about getting fired, and we heard what Nicole Scherzinger had to say about the ax.
But what does Simon Cowell have to say about the X Factor bloodbath?? A LOT of people have been wondering how he could fire close-friend Paula (not that he hasn't done something similar before, heyyy Chezza)!
Welp! Here he goes:
I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year.
We had a lot of fun making the show together and importantly, we found some real talent and stars. You do develop friendships with the people you work with and Paula, in particular, is a very close friend and I expect to be working with her on another project in the near future.
I'm sure all three are going to have massive success in what they do next, but now is the time to thank them all for everything they did last year.
Ugh!! Not juicy at all!! But professional... gotta give him that!!
Like we discussed before, we HIGHly doubt firing Paula was the highlight of his day, but he's known to put business first! And if better business means bringing in some fresh faces, then so be it!!
Hey Simon!! Perez would LOVE to judge!! No deadlocks here, LOL!!

We pick up EXACTLY where we left off!
WARNING! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN LAST NIGHT'S INCREDIBLY SHOCKING EPISODE OF GOSSIP GIRL, STEP AWAY FROM THE UPCOMING PROMO. IT WILL RUIN (ALMOST) EVERYTHING!
For the rest of you, we invite you to take a look at the video (above) to see where in the world Blair Waldorf is running off to ... and with who!
Can we just say again how much we love the direction this season is taking?!

Jay A. Fernandez , Daniel Miller Jennifer Lopez, the popstar turned American Idol judge who has been dating the much younger Casper Smart since she decided to end her marriage to Marc Anthony, paid a visit to The Today Show today to give a promo interview. Among the projects she is promoting is a reality TV series (Q’Viva! The Chosen) that she is working on with her soon-to-be ex-husband Marc Anthony. J. Lo was asked if she has any plans to marry her new lover Casper Smart and she was also asked about the current state of her relationship with business partner/ex-hubby Marc. Click below to watch video from her interview to hear what she has to say in response to both questions.
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
She’s been married three times, and engaged once, so Jennifer Lopez would be forgiven for swearing off the institution for good. And sure enough, when the 42-year-old was asked if she’d take the plunge again on The Today Show, she replied: ‘I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. We’ll see. I mean, I don’t know.’ She then added to host Matt Lauer: ‘It’s not time to think about that yet. It’s still fresh.’ But tellingly, the mother-of-two didn’t rule a fourth marriage out, and waiting dutifully in the wings as she filmed her segment was her dancer beau, Casper Smart, 24. On the appearing with her ex-husband – they announced their split in late May – Marc Anthony on their new TV show, Q’Viva! The Chosen, Lopez admitted that, given their personal circumstances, it would have been easy to walk away from the show commitment. But, she explained: ‘Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years, and we always loved each other. And we always worked together, so it wasn’t an unnatural thing for us to continue working together. And, obviously, we have children together, so it’s not going to be like he’s not in my life. He’s always going to be in my life.’ She also conceded that they ‘have their moments,’ but said, “There is real love there.’
LOL. Look, I love Jennifer Lopez … I really do … but let’s be real here, she is among the worst decision makers when it comes to marriage. Her first two marriages were nothing more than legally binding flings. Only her marriage to Marc Anthony seemed to have any weight to it. After Jen dumped her first husband Ojani Noa, she started a relationship with Sean Puff Daddy Combs. Altho they never married, they were quite an item for a while. After Puffy, she married back up dancer Chris Judd. When that marriage failed, she hooked up with Ben Affleck … and they almost made it down the aisle (remember Bennifer?) … but when that relationship ended, she started dating Marc Anthony and eventually married him. I honestly would not be surprised at all if J. Lo eventually decides to get married again to Casper Smart. She says her relationship with Casper is “still fresh” but … I dunno. She did not rule out wedding #4. I could see an elopement in J. Lo‘s future, can’t you? I guess only time will tell … first, she has to get officially divorced for Marc Anthony before she can really make any wedding plans. HMMM, maybe that’s the hold up for wedding #4?

We were hoping this wasn't really happening...but it is. A cast of approximately 5 people is now shooting a brand new reality show based on folks "making it happen" in ATL. And Memphitz is likely at the helm.
And seeing that stripper Maliah Michel, a few other booty models, and singer/rapper wanna-bes are all involved, we're going with the usual sow premise of "We're showing you why partying and flaunting our enlarged asses is such hard work." Deets inside...
Despite the fact she still lives in Houston, stripper/multi-rapper arm piece Maliah Michel is starring in an upcoming reality show with the working title of "Mistresses of Atlanta".
Based on the numerous tweets from cast members, photographers, makeup artists, and clothing designers outfitting them for the show, today is Day 3 of shooting. And the above shot is from today's promo photoshoot.

Reportedly, the cast consists of one guy who goes by the twitter name of SoleHeir (above), Maliah, Model/stripper Rosee Divine, model Sarah Oliver, rapper M’Jae and singer Strings. Whoever these people are.
We've also learned that Toya's husband Memphitz is involved with the project in some way--likely producing it via his production company Do Work Ent.--as he's constantly pubbing the cast members and their promo photoshoots.

Makeup artist Latasha Wright tweeted a pic with M'Jae saying:
So I'm on set taping the Mistresses of Atlanta ooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!
Mistresses of Atlanta these ladies r TURNED UP! @MeMpHiTz Do Work\Rebel Star the night is just beginning!
@iammaliahmichel rocked The Wright Look on this set! she killed this shoot I must @MeMpHiTz knows how to pickem!
And cast member M'Jae tweeted a recent pic with Toya and daughter Reginae on a set:

Maliah has been linked to Drake, Sean Kingston, and others and is well known for her pole skills at a strip club in Houston, as well as traveling around the country for parties and guest appearances at strip clubs. She partied with the cast recently (cast shot and above pic) and at Luxe Lounge in DC last weekend:

Rosee is raising a ruckus around the net for her seemingly fake assets:

Ummm....
And the rest of the cast:

M'Jae

SoleHeir

Stringz

Sarah Oliver
And more pics from today's set and recent party:

I see 2012 will continue the the stripper/booty model/mistress on a pedastal trend. Yes indeed....
Jay A. Fernandez Last month we learned that actor Christopher Meloni will be joining the cast of True Blood for the upcoming 5th season of the show. Today we get to see a new promo video for the upcoming 5th season of the show that *may* give a hint as to what role Meloni will play on True Blood. OK, in all honesty … there really isn’t a hint about Christopher‘s character … but we do get a bit of a hint as to what the season 5 storyline may be about. Check out the trailer below and see what you think.
Perry's hair colorist weighs in on the pop star's ever-changing locks.

Over the weekend, Katy Perry debuted another shade of blue hair in Las Vegas. The newer, bluer hair was more turquoise than the look she had sported weeks before on the set of an Adidas commercial.
Katy is constantly changing her hair color from black to blond to pink, and seemingly every shade in between. These days, however, it seems she's settled on blue. So, when MTV News spoke to her longtime hair colorist, Rita Hazan, she gave us the low-down on why Ms. Perry is feeling so blue these days.
"Of course, being Katy, she is a lot more edgy and she's cooler and she likes to take a lot of risks. And I love that she's like, 'I'm feeling a little blue, let's go blue' — not in her energy, just in her hair color," Hazan explained to MTV News about the pop star's current hair-color choice. "I felt like it's the perfect color for her because her eyes are blue and she has the perfect skin tone to be a really vibrant, really cool, intense blue."
When Hazan first heard about Perry's decision to deepen her locks to blue, she wanted her to be a "cobalt blue, muted cobalt blue; it's really cool. It took me three days to come up with this color. I'm so obsessed with it. It's like the wallpaper for my iPhone."
Since then, the color has lightened up a bit, but regardless of the shade, the hair still has everyone buzzing. "I was shocked by all the crazy reactions that people had to the blue 'cause I thought going from black to pink would have been the major reaction people would have," she said. "But I kind of like that people are loving the blue 'cause I'm obsessed with blue. So any shade of blue, I'm loving. I know it's not natural, but it sort of works in a natural way."
Of course, her hair color might have something to do with her recent split from Russell Brand. Kimberley Pierce, a colorist at Ion Studio in New York City, explained that she's seen many a newly single chick come in and change up their mood with some new hair color. "They'll come in for a consult and say, 'My boyfriend and I just broke up and I want brown hair' and they're a blonde," she said, adding that she usually has some advice for those rash decisions. "The best thing we can do for them is tell them to try a wig on first."
Whatever Katy's reason for the shocking, eye-catching color change, Pierce added that it really works for her.
"I kind of like that she got away from the pink because I feel like we've seen that so much. With the blue, it's more vibrant and definitely she's on her own with it," she said. "She's kind of all the way in with the blue. She's kind of this candy-coated sort of person. So I guess blue would be the natural transition, or purple. It's nice to see her experiment with different things."

Late last year we got to see 3 teaser promo videos for the upcoming second season of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. The first teaser we saw showed us, well, nothing. The second teaser we saw was more a behind the scenes sort of thing that was cool to watch but, again, didn’t show much in the way of new footage. The third teaser we saw felt more like a trailer for the upcoming season, one that showed us actual footage from the show. Today we get our first proper video trailer … and it is AMAZING! Click below to check it out and TELL me you’re not dying for season 2 of Game of Thrones to start RIGHT NOW.

Dimmu Borgir's Silenoz
Photo: Nuclear Blast

On October 14, Dimmu BorgirDimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said. "It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically." Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with MoonspellMoonspell, Winds of PlagueWinds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP. "It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be." Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring. "I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation." While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings. "And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula." Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia'sSusperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former VaderVader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake. "We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that." The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco. The rest of the week's metal news: Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ... According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." To quote "Meet the Parents," we'll look forward to that, Greg. ... The Funeral Pyre and Early Graves will be hitting the road together next month, starting November 7 in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Former Michael Jackson doctor faces another hearing in January to potentially provide more than $101 million in restitution to the Jackson family.

Dr. Conrad Murray listens as he sits in court during his sentencing for the involuntary manslaughter of singer Michael Jackson at the Los Angeles Superior Court on November 29, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Judge Michael E. Pastor sentenced Murray to four years in county jail for his involuntary manslaughter conviction of Jackson.

Former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray was back in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday morning (November 29), where he was ordered to serve the maximum of four years in county jail. The cardiologist, who was found guilty of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter November 7, was facing up to four years in state prison in the death of the pop icon, but due to recent changes to alleviate overcrowding in California prisons, the judge in the case said he was was unable to send the doctor to state prison for his crime.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor had leeway in the sentencing, with options ranging from probation to the full sentence, but in a lengthy ruling from the bench he said that Murray's lack of remorse and negligent behavior argued for the highest possible penalty. Do you think Conrad Murray deserved the maximum sentence? Let us know on Facebook. "He is and remains dangerous ... the request of probation is denied, the court imposes the high term of four years imprisonment in this case," Pastor said during the 90-plus minute hearing. Murray will serve his time in the Los Angeles County Jail, as well as pay nearly $900 in court fees and face another hearing in late January 2012 on a request by the prosecution to provide more than $101 million in restitution to the Jackson family. Murray was found guilty by a jury of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter after prosecutors convinced them that Murray's reckless use of the surgical anesthetic propofol led to the singer's death. Before Pastor's ruling, prosecutors not only asked for the maximum sentence, but also that Murray pay Jackson's children more than $100 million in restitution, which is the amount they believe the singer would have earned had he lived to perform his "This is It" comeback tour, in addition to nearly $2 million in funeral expenses. Prior to handing down the sentence, a peeved-looking Pastor answered a defense question regarding a last minute notice from the prosecution noting that two previous cases suggest that involuntary manslaughter could be considered a "serious" offense and thus should subject Murray to federal prison time. "I don't think these cases have any impact on the realignment statute," Pastor ruled, referring to the new rules regarding sentencing that he believed superseded the earlier cases. Attorney and friend Brian Panish read a statement from the Jackson family at the beginning of the proceedings. "There is now way to adequately describe the loss of our beloved father, son, brother and friend," Panish said. "We still look at each other in disbelief, is it really possible that he is gone? As Michael's parents we never could have imaged we would live to witness his passing. It is simply against the natural order of things. As his brothers and sisters we will never be able to hold, laugh, or perform again with our brother Michael. And as his children, we will grow up without a father, our best friend, our playmate and our dad. We are not here to seek revenge, there is nothing you can do today that will bring Michael back. But we will keep the love in our in our hearts that Michael embodied throughout his life. His passion was for unifying the world through the gift of his artistry. We respectfully request that you impose a sentence that reminds physicians that they cannot sell their services to the highest bidder and cast aside their Hippocratic oath to do no harm. As we all know from this tragedy, doing so can have devastating results. The bible reminds us that men cannot do justice they can only seek justice. And that is all we ask as a family and that is all that we can ask for here." As in the past, Murray, 58, sat stone-faced, listening to the statement and prosecutor David Walgren's quick rehashing of the facts in the case. "He looked out for himself and not Michael Jackson," Walgren said, going on to argue why the court should deny the defense's request for probation. He quoted Pastor's own comments about the dangerous nature of Murray's action following the verdict as evidence that Murray should face a more serious penalty than probation. He said Murray's abandonment of a vulnerable Jackson in the time of the singer's need, as well as the planning the doctor underwent to procure the propofol and to not keep clear medical records about their administration were also reasons to deny probation. "It is the people's position that prison is warranted," Walgren said, adding that it was Murray's negligent actions before, during and after Jackson's death, as well as his lack of remorse and failure to take personal responsibility — as evidenced in clip from a documentary interview nine days before the verdict in which he denied culpability — that call for the longer term. A number of Jackson's family members, including mother Katherine and siblings LaToya, Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie, were reportedly on hand for the court date. When asked by the judge if the new sentencing laws allowed Murray to be sent to prison for the full term, Walgren said they did not. While the defense did not call any witnesses to testify — and Murray did not wish to speak — defense attorney Ed Chernoff did reference more than 30 pages of support memorandum from friends, family and patients in his brief statements. He agreed that Murray's actions do warrant punishment, but asked how the court viewed the book of Murray's life, versus one chapter. "He shouldn't have done it," he said of Murray's actions. "We're going to be honest about vulnerability. Michael Jackson was a drug seeker and he sought it out from Dr. Murray who was wrong in providing it." Chernoff painted Jackson as a rich, powerful person who had the means to do whatever he wanted and asked the court to consider Murray's life before the doctor began working for Jackson. He described Murray's currently cloistered existence in jail in protective custody and asked, "but what about the rest of his life? What about before Michael Jackson asked for propofol?" he wondered, noting that for 56 years Murray had never run afoul of the law and had raised a family following his destitute beginnings on the island of Grenada. "Does any of that matter at all?" Chernoff asked dramatically as he unspooled his client's rise from poverty and what he described as a professional life dedicated to helping poor and disadvantaged patients. "I think it should matter," he answered. "But when the glow of vengeance has faded, he still is someone else's problem. And Dr. Murray can do things for the community on probation that he could never do sitting in that room." Pastor noted that he had discretion in sentencing in this case and that he took into account that both sides have said that Murray's actions did result in the death of Jackson, though pointedly noted that Murray did not take responsibility in the MSNBC documentary that aired days after the guilty verdict. Because the case involved criminal negligence, which requires more than carelessness or mistake in judgment, but reckless actions that result in death, Pastor said it was important to focus on those factors. "This is not a question about what might have happened or what if someone else had been involved if not for Dr. Murray," he said. "That is an insult to the medical profession. The fact is that Michael Jackson died because of the action of and the failure to perform the medical duties of Dr. Murray." The judge said he had taken into account the full story of Murray's life, but said the "unconscionable lies" to medical personnel and a series of "inconceivable" decisions the doctor made on June 25, 2009 jeopardized the life of his patient and superseded what the doctor had done before. "Why give probation to someone who is offended by the whole idea that that person is even before the court," he said, referring to a "failure of character" on behalf of Murray, most specifically, a secret recording the physician made of the singer that Pastor characterized as a type of "insurance policy" against a potential future conflict between the doctor and patient that seemed beyond the pale. The day before the sentence was handed down, Murray's mother, Milta Rush, reportedly wrote a letter to judge Pastor asking him for mercy, saying, "his [Murray's] compassion and his soft heartedness for others led to this dilemma." Pastor said he could find no reason to grant probation to Murray, whose actions he called a "gross, continuing deviation" from medical standards, and who he claimed is and remains a danger to the community. Without the legal authority to send Murray to state prison, Pastor said, "the court has determined that the appropriate term is the higher term of four years imprisonment ... because I find that Dr. Murray had abandoned his patient, who was trusting him ... he has absolutely no remorse." A future date in January was set to begin discussing the prosecution's request for restitution. After being given credit for 46 days of time served and good time credit, Murray was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs. The Los Angeles County Sheriff will determine how much time Murray will actually do in his equally overcrowded jail and Murray's lawyers have indicated that they plan to launch an appeal at a later date.

That is a VERY odd combination!
Jimmy Kimmel and his production company, Jackhole Industries, has teamed up with DiGa to shop around a reality/scripted show pilot.
The show with feature fictional characters in real life situations, similar to Sacha Baron Cohen "interviewing" real people as Borat.
Tony DiSanto of DiGa explained the show with the following statement:
It plays on the idea of how far hospitality and politeness get pushed and does it in way that also examines culture clashes
Sounds pretty zany!
Jimmy will executive produce the show but will not appear on camera.

OoOoOo! We like it!
Former White Stripes, Raconteurs and Dead Weather frontman Jack White is finally on his own and is releasing his first solo album, Blunderbuss, on April 24.
That's still a few months off, but fortunately, he gave us a taste of what we can expect by releasing the record's first single today! It's called Love Interruption and we kinda love it and maybe you will too once you listen to it (below).
We can't believe it took Jack so long to release a solo album considering he's the musical genius behind so many other acts, but apparently he didn't feel there was a right time to release a record under his own name until now, explaining:
"I couldn't have released [ Blunderbuss] until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."
The single definitely has the signature Jack White sound and we're hoping the rest of the album does too! Listen to Love Interruption below and let us know what U think!

Amber Rose was spotted boo'd up with her man Wiz Khalifa outside her party at Cameo nightclub on South Beach Saturday night. But it wasn't the ass grabbing that caught folks attention....it was her new face tatt!
Pics inside....
Someone was inspired by Mike Tyson's face tatt, because Amber copped one just like it. Not sure if it's permanent (doubt it and hope not), but seems like she was going for a catchy look for her big Cameo party this weekend.

The "model" was spotted outside the club hugged up on Wiz. Theses two are constantly gushing their love for each other...and their wedding plans. Wiz told Hollyscoop last week:
“We’re gonna get married when the time is right, we’re enjoying each other, just having fun. Her music career is taking off. I would hate to stunt that, it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen.”
And Amber recently told Billboard:
“We do want to get married and will get married, but we want to get married, enjoy each other, have babies and be able to take time off. We’ll get married when things calm down a little bit.”
BONUS: Speaking of Amber's Mike Tyson-like facial tattoo, Mike will be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame. STORY

Full-length video for Madge's new tune will premiere day after Thursday's 'AI' episode.
By Jocelyn Vena
Madonna is truly an "American Idol," so it's probably fitting that the Queen of Pop has chosen the Fox reality show to debut a tease of the highly anticipated video for her upcoming single "Give Me All Your Luvin'. "
"AI" will premiere a preview of the video during Thursday's episode, a day before its proper debut on Friday, which also happens to be the day the single hits iTunes (a version was leaked late last year). Fans will finally get to hear Madge, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. in all their sassiness. (Oh, yeah, Madonna's film "W.E." hits theaters that day too!)
Along with producer Martin Solveig, Madge, Nicki and M.I.A all co-wrote "Give Me All Your Luvin', " while the "W.E." director was also onboard to co-produce the track. "Luvin" is the lead single off her upcoming album, M.D.N.A., which is now set to drop on March 26, according to Idolator.
Fans are just getting a glimpse of new artwork for the single, which features Madge sporting only a sweater in a trio of shots. On each sweater, there's a star and a portion of the song's title. In one shot, Madge has her eyes closed with her lips pursed together. In another, she's shouting; and in the third image, she has her hands in her hair, eyes closed and a smile on her face.
Other production credits for the album include William Orbit, the Demolition Crew, Marco "Benny" Benassi and Alessandro "Alle" Benassi, Hardy "Indiigo" Muanza and Michael Malih.
Madonna recently spoke to MTV News about working with Orbit. "With William, I didn't really have a discussion," she said. "We've worked on stuff for so many years that we kind of finish each other's sentences. He knows my taste and what I like. Magic happens when we get into a recording studio together."
Not enough Madonna for you? Well, she'll hit the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show next Sunday, February 5, where, rumor has it, M.I.A., Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green and LMFAO will join her. While we don't know much about her performance, the pop superstar teased that it would include a lot of pom poms.
